That's how long my iPod has to live according to the iPod deathclock. I got the link from Joe over at JoeMyGod. Less than a year left with my less that 2 year old iPod. Cruise on over and check out your own iPod death watch simply by entering your serial number.
To quote Joe: "What a racket."

i just bought a nano! it's so pretty. :-) Although I miss my old one, but it died when I dropped it at the beach.
I don't even want to know. I think it's made to die shortly after the apple care has expired
This is one reason why I have a Creative Jen Jukebox. Granted, it's not "pretty", but it's a workhorse.
It won't die, it will just need a battery replaced. Go to the attached link http://www.ipodjuice.com/
and pick up a replacement kit, or buy right at ipod deathclock. These will come at half the cost of going through apple. It is very easy to do yourself. If you google "how to replace ipod battery" a host of sights will come up with video of the process. BTW, I learned all of this info from our brilliant nephew Tyler. He is a computer savant turned complete mac geek. I love him for it.
ridiculous. and now i've got a rehabbed iPod on my computer, one which quit after 30 days of use, and no way to add all of my tunes because of the stupid software not recognizing this one. i hate this stuff. hate it.
