Lynn, I'm sure you're not the only one who doesn't get the reference, so let me clear it up--for years Jack Benny joked that he was perpetually 39. And so am I. But not perpetually. I just started today. :)
Wow. I got the reference without even having to click. Of course, it is only because my father always said the same thing, until his death.
Come to think of it, it's probably a good thing he died. I'd be two years older than him right now. ;)

I guess that makes me an "old soul" at 36yo. I totally got the Benny reference. But then again, I was one of those gay boys who used to love watching old B&W sitcoms like "The Jack Benny Show" with Rochester, Mary, and Jack's "cheesy violin".
