Sorrento, Italy
Below is the travelogue email I sent home from Sorrento. As you can see the weather was glorious and I remember this day as an unexpected gift from the universe. Rehearsals were busy and stressful on the ship that week and Sorrento afforded us a day to browse through shops, have a delicious lunch overlooking a breathtaking view and indulge in a couple of frozen lattes.
I got to spend a beautiful day in Sorrento this week. The best part about
it was that it was completely unexpected. Through a twist of fate one of
our shows got canceled at the last minute and our dance captain, who was in need of a well deserved break from putting 4 new replacements including myself into three shows, gave everyone the day off. The shopping was great and the weather was even better. The pictures are as follows: the view from the cafe where we had lunch, the Piazza San Antonio in Sorrento, me with part of our ship in the background, a view of our ship anchored in the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background, another shot of the Bay of Naples and finally a Mediterranean sunset.

im1ytryharder, I think it's "Sargento" that makes the cheese...not Sorrento.
