Grow Up!
File this one under "get a life." During construction of the new Yankees Stadium, a Red Sox-loving construction worker on the job reportedly planted a Sox jersey under two feet of concrete as a practical joke and possibly to spur Yankee fears of a Boston "curse". Construction workers, most of whom are Yankee fans, spent five hours on Saturday digging up the offending jersey at the request of Yankees brass.
The Yankees are considering filing criminal charges against the construction worker because "he had bad motives and was trying to do a really bad thing." Criminal charges! For something that's imaginary! Gimme a break. Why don't you go tell his mommy while you're at it. The only thing criminal here is spending five hours on a Saturday at union wages digging up brand new concrete. Maybe they can get the pope to exorcise the spot during his upcoming visit to Yankees Stadium next week. Grow up, boys!

Just one more reason to hate the yankees. As usual they are taking themselves way too seriously.
Lets Go Mets!
I must say that while watching the local news today, I saw a few Mets fans interviewed. They were asked what they would want done if a similar circumstance occured in their new stadium. The general concensus was, "Whatevah, leave it dere....we'll bury dem too!" Further proof that Mets fans have developed thick skin and a much more philosophical approach to things.
As a Mets fan - and Yankee hater - I thought this one was truly insane. I must say when I heard he buried it there I thought it was great - hopefully he buried something else and won't let on until after they open the place - those ninnies will have a cow.
....or you could say something else was planted, even though it's not, and see if they'll tear the whole place down.

I find it ironic that the same day they dug up his jersey, Big Papi came out of his hitting slump. Yeah I'm totally a baseball fag, but still the Evil Empire needs to get over itself.
You're one of those rude newcomers. You're only in the NYC area for (a relatively short) 15 years and you're telling the natives to "grow up"?
