In Memoriam--Kitty Carlisle Hart
Kitty Carlisle Hart, (1910-2007) actress, singer, game show regular and tireless advocate for the arts, died yesterday at the age of 96. Ms. Hart, widow of legendary playwright Moss Hart, appeared on Broadway, television and cabaret venues all over the country, her last appearance as recent as last fall. Known for her impeccable sense of style, Kitty Carlisle to my mind has always been the embodiment of the classic, New York sophisticate. Kitty Carlisle will be missed. My grandmother used to mention her growing up.
